I'm guessing they counted JYJ under the SM category ?
    lol ,
if not then that would mean the whole list is JYJ + SM artists because the beginning had over 500k sales and also in heaven was one of the top albums :\ . . .
    JYJ is now under JYJ i guess . . . erh :\ the number shouldn't be 14,

  2. Huh? Why would the article include JYJ's sales with DBSK? I mean when they were five, it would be natural for all of them to be included, but even as JYJ? That's kind of weird.

JYJ is under C-jes so it should be counted separately from DBSK and SMe.

  3. ya, it is weird...but the OT5 fan in me is happy that majority of people still view JCS as part of DBSK=P...I try not to view it as a link to 'SM', but a link to Homin=)

  5. @sheils: well I guess that's a good way to look at it, but unfortunately I think only half is being associated with DBSK and the other half is with SMe... I mean the article is about how SMe's artists are dominating album sales so I don't think it's right to include JYJ's sales with SMe artists.

I am not sure if a majority of people still view JYJ as part of DBSK though. Korean fans (I am told) separate the two groups fully, but international fans don't so perhaps it might still be a majority. I hope not for their sakes since they have been trying so hard to establish a different name for themselves in the past three years.

  6. ^ya, but like I said...I'm trying to focus on the positive half...cuz I don't really care about the other half aka SM=P

I actually disagree with your last statement...if JCS were really trying to establish a different name for themselves, they wouldn't have just chosen their initials as a new group name...they also would have chosen a new leader...and most importantly, JJ wouldn't have "JYJ from TVXQ" on his twitter even until now...DBSK5's accomplishments are tremendous and awesome...I don't think JCS would want themselves to be apart from that...no other group has managed to accomplish what they have together and I think JCS will always treasure that and want to be tied to that legacy forever.

  7. @sheils: I do agree with you on the sentimental point of view. And I think JJ especially reminisces about the old days as well.

But I think logically and practically, they have been going away from their DBSK days. It's necessary for them to find their own niche in the entertainment business since unfortunately, as of this moment, they don't have a place in DBSK. I believe Yoochun and Junsu have referred to Jaejoong as the leader before though during their fanmeets. Probably jokingly, but it's not far off the mark. These boys are already 26-27 year olds so they don't really need an assigned "leader". YC and JS respect JJ as their leader and that's enough.

I don't think they will ever forget that they are from DBSK. Jaejoong's twitter line is a symbol of that. But JYJ... that's their future.

I noticed you always refered to them as JCS, which I guess it's fine since it is your choice. But if you are going to use the argument that JJ's twitter says JYJ from DBSK as proof that they treasure their DBSK past, then please also take notice of the word JYJ in that line. JJ wrote JYJ from DBSK, so the JYJ part is as important as DBSK part. Using one part, but not accepting the other seems too much like taking things out of context to me.

  8. @Anonymous, July 20, 2012 1:47 PM:

I believe you're looking at it in a different point of view from me tho...it's not about whether they're trying to do well for themselves or not...cuz of course they want to succeed in their current situation...but that's unrelated to them wanting or not wanting to be associated to DBSK/HM cuz I'm sure they do....to me, DBSK doesn't = SM like many JCS fans associate it to be.

again, different point of view...of course JJ would put "JYJ"...that's their unit name...why would he put "JCS" when that isn't even a group name to begin with and only fans refer to the 3 of them in that way and not the members themselves?...the only reason I call them JCS is because that's what I've been calling them from the very beginning...their separation shouldn't have to change that.

the fact that Junsu decided to use Xia (which is the stage name given to him by SM) is a sign that his past is ever present still and he embraces that....JCS said themselves: "we are very reluctant to let go of the name TVXQ, because we are TVXQ as well."....another interview where they asked: "Did you expect to be that successful with JYJ after leaving TVXQ?"...the answer: "I think it will be more appropriate to say that we finished with the agency in which we were working"...another line: "In the past, now and in the future… We are TVXQ.”, etc.

it's so evident that JCS still view themselves as DBSK and that "JYJ" is a unit from that group...but like I said, I guess we both have different perspectives and outlooks on the situation...i don't think either of us is necessarily "wrong"....but I don't mind agreeing to disagree=)

  9. ^ we have the same point of view, ms. sheils.

"Did you expect to be that successful with JYJ after leaving TVXQ?"...the answer: "I think it will be more appropriate to say that we finished with the agency in which we were working"...another line: "In the past, now and in the future… We are TVXQ.”

-->> these lines from junsu surely proves that JYJ is just a unit from DBSK. and they will always be a member of DBSK.

  10. that's good to know that I'm not the only one that thinks this way and that there are still OT5 fans around..hehe.

and don't forget the most famous and touching quote from Jaejoong himself:

"Time has passed and now we are referred to as JYJ and TVXQ, but that we have our group name as the initials of the members means that we work as JYJ in TVXQ. We do not have any intention to get out from the shadow of TVXQ. Because we are still TVXQ, I do not want the expression of TVXQ's former member either."

can't spell it out more clearly than that=)

  11. I personally include JYJ because technically speaking they are still Under SM, it's just that the court ruled that they can operate outside the contract and SM can't cockblock their activities. Besides, they will be both TVXQ and JYJ to me. :D

  12. @sheils

I love that quote very much :") I always have the same way of thinking like you do. they work in JYJ in TVXQ. nobody can change the fact that they are still TVXQ members and not a former of TVXQ
