[TRANS] 110719 FANACCOUNT - KBS Music Bank Japan

I arrived late at the venue yesterday due to the hot weather and another thing was, I wanted to prevent myself from over purchasing their merchandise. The subway station near the venue was crowded with fans, when I got out from there, the red sea of BIGEAST blankets flooded my field of vision. The blankets were pretty. I would like to have one, but I couldn’t afford it. Japanese fans were too rich... I couldn’t compete with them...

Squeezing through the crowd, and after racking my brains to find a way to smuggle in my camera, I succeeded in doing so! But... unexpectedly, a staff appeared and stood in front of me throughout the concert =.= So, sorry, no photos from me...

I turned around in my seat to look at the venue. There were too many red towels and red glow sticks around me that I thought I was at Tohoshinki’s concert.

So, the concert began with KARA’s performance. (omitted)

I was a bit worried of Homin before they appeared on stage, as other groups like UKISS, BEAST had received tremendous support from the crowd. When it was SNSD’s turn, one could easily notice that they had the highest popularity. Especially during the song ‘Gee’, the fans were chanting ‘Gee’ along throughout the whole song. Frankly speaking, I was a bit worried of how would it turn out to be when it was Homin’s turn. Well, the fact proved that my worry was a complete waste of imagination! When the word ‘Tohoshinki’ appeared on big screen, I jumped off from my seat, pulled down the towel which hanging around my neck, turned on the glow stick, and shrieked! A primary school kid beside me was startled by my reaction. In his mind, I must have transformed into some kind of monster.

The songs performed by Homin were Before You Go and Why. At first my eyes only fixed on Homin. Then, unintentionally I turned my view to the audience and I was surprised to find out I was in the middle of red sea! Tears crept into my eyes. The venue which was initially composed by various colours of glowstick, had turned into a sea of red! As I recall what I saw before the starting of concert, I realised each person had 2 different colours of glowsticks in their hands, and one of them was red! Everyone seemed to have reached an agreement to turn on their red glowstick at the same time!

I was overwhemled with mixed emotions! I was both happy and sad at the same time! I wanted to tell them badly: Look! There are still so many people supporting you! There are still a lot of us waiting for you, we never forget about you! The most beautiful red sea will be always and only for you! Please come back together! Five of you!

It was the most enjoyable moment to be able to watch Yunho and Changmin singing on stage, while immersed in the red ocean.

After two songs, Yunho greeted us, ‘How are you? It has been a long time (then paused for a while)... Dome!’
I could feel the nostalgic feeling hidden underneath when he said the word Dome.
My memories flashed back to their 4th Live Tour, the same place where five of them ever standing together, singing ‘Begin’, singing ‘Wasurenai’...
I burst into tears... Not only me, but the cassies around me as well...

After few words from Changmin, whilst everyone was still trying to figure out what would be the next song, the introduction music of the next song was played. It was Rising Sun!
‘Why? Why is this song?’ while I was chanting along, I couldn’t stop myself from crying. T.T The other cassies and I, our initially low hiccuping sobs became loud cries.
The cheering for Tohoshinki was the loudest. Two Sone who sat 2 seats away from me couldn’t help but kept on praising, ‘They are awesome! They are Tohoshinki in fact!’
I thought I have heard Jaejoong & Junsu singing in harmony in the background music. When reaching Yoochun’s rap, for a moment I thought I saw Yoochun singing on stage.
As if time has flown backwards and stopped by the moment they were holding their 2nd & 3rd Live Tour...

Yunho, after witnessing the red ocean, thanked us, ‘Thanks for giving us so much support! But this is not our concert, so please support the other groups as well! Thank you very much!’

Yunho ah! Is the support we gave you has made you feel like you are having your own concert?

I couldn’t hold back my tears even after the concert ended. I might have happily enjoyed their performance till the end and not crying a river now if they didn’t perform Rising Sun. It was too heartbreaking just to listen to it.
Despite of getting sorethroat after all the shouting and cheering, I feel satisfied. I’m looking forward to the a-nation which will be held on 27th of August!

Tohoshinki... When are you going to hold your own concert? I have been waiting for it...

[TRANS] 110718 JYJ Members Expressed Their Feelings With Regards To Performance’s Cancellation

JYJ members revealed their feeling with regards to cancellation of their performance in KBS “Wish for 7 Wonders – KBS Special 5 Live”. Representative company CJeS Entertainment stated that Jeju’s honorary ambassador JYJ was slated to perform 2 songs at the “Wish for 7 Wonders – KBS Special 5 Live” and to go through the ambassador appointment ceremony on the 20th, but they received the broadcast cancellation notice on the 16th.

JYJ Kim Jaejoong tweeted on the 16th with, “If there are going to be obstacles blocking us from promoting our nation’s natural wonder, then this time, I’ll just promote it alone (like this).” He tweeted again on the wee hours of the morning on 18th with, “I don’t believe that the 7 Natural Wonders of the World Declaration Committee chooses beautiful locations in the world as a means of publicity for the profit and losses of a specific nation. Finding beautiful things in the world is a “happiness” that everyone in the world shares. Wouldn’t the purpose of choosing these natural wonders be to preserve them for a long time? But if there are complicated conditions existing beyond this significance, then the simpleness ..of everyone finding happiness will not be a smooth road.” Kim Junsu also expressed on his Twitter, “We cross mountain after mountain.. but ahead looms another one” and “Why are you all sorry.. we’re the ones who should be sorry”
(T/N: all tweet translations are credited to dongbangdata.net)

CJeS Entertainment stated through their homepage that JYJ was supposed to be appointed as ambassadors through the Special broadcast but with Jeju’s local government proceeding with the promotional activities, they (CJeS) officially announced their stance that “In this situation where there are no negotiations with the artistes and performance was one-sidedly canceled just four days before, we will file a complaint to Korea Fair Trade Commission.” CJeS Entertainment has yet to hear any response from Jeju’s local government or KBS Jeju.

On the other hand, KBS had ever stated in their homepage’s message board regarding JYJ’s unability to perform on KBS Music Bank that it is due to the on-going lawsuit between JYJ and ex-company SM Entertainment and yet contracted with current representative company. They also stated, “The continuation of allowing JYJ to perform would cause legal problems and damage the cultural development and order. Until the judgment between JYJ and their company is passed or a mutual agreement is agreed upon, broadcasting activities will be stopped as what was stated before and would be further discussed depending on the judgment.” They further explained that, “The stance before the judgment of invalidity of the contract was a mistake in our management.”
(T/N: This refers to KBS’s change of stance stating that “the previous ‘restriction’ stance was in February.” They later on released another statement that JYJ would be able to appear when they release a new album since JYJ did not released an album since February.)

[NEWS] 110719 Unauthorized Remake of JYJ’s Jaejoong Composed Song by Chinese Artist

T/N: The reporter of this article was not aware that the Chinese artist in question, Zhuo Qi Bo, might not actually be an official AVEX artist. Please take any mention of Qi Bo being part of the AVEX family lightly, as we do not know the full case so far.

Kim Jaejoong, a member of the group JYJ, is involved in the controversy of the year over an unauthorized remake of his self-composed song that has been made by a Chinese singer.

Zhuo Qi Bo (Ray Cho), a member of AVEX group China, relased two songs, one of which fans found the chorus to be strikingly similar to Kim Jaejoong’s composed song, TVXQ’s “Wasurenaide”. Fans complained that the remake was created by Zhuo Qui Bo without discussion or permission from Kim Jaejoong’s side, which prompted a quick apology and explanation from Qi Bo.

Zhou Qi Bo wrote in an entry on weibo “Regarding the unhappiness of fans over the remake of Kim Jaejoong’s self-composed Japanese song “Wasurenaide”, I want to greatly apologize. I know for many of you this song carries precious stories and memories, and I believe I can join you in that thought, because I am also a fan of Kim Jaejoong and his talents. He is not only my idol, but also my role model, so therefore I will carefully handle all matters for this song “Redundant” and will try to form a consensus”.

However, the fans continued to ask AVEX for an apology over the matter. Chinese JYJ fans have been searching for proper credit of copyright and composition rights over this matter. Fans have even created a signature campaign, entitled “Protect Jaejoong’s Right to Wasurenaide”.

In response to this situation, Kim Jaejoong wrote a tweet in Japanese stating “Wasurenaide is not mine, nor any singular person’s song. It is a song that belongs to the 5 members of TVXQ, therefore I do not want only one or three people to sing it”.

“Is there any deal to be made in the future?” is the question OSEN (T/N: the reporting company who wrote this article) has to ask. “It seems as though in China remakes without prior approval happen quite often”. However, for now, no legal action has been taken in this matter.

[TRANS] 110717 Kim Jaejoong, “This Anxiety Developed That Is Similar To Andropause Symptom… It Is A Good Thing”‏

As the top singer in Republic of Korea, how is the feeling about debuting as a new actor? JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong will be acting as a chaebol successor in SBS Wednesday-Thursday drama ‘Protect The Boss’, challenging his first role in domestic drama. Topics such as comparison to Hyun Bin in SBS’s ‘Secret Garden’ starts the conversation.

Kim Jaejoong said, “It feels like the time when I was a newbie debuting, I think the the crucial part is to adapt to the environment. 10 years of activities and I feel as though I have reached andropause, it is both body and mentally exhausting. Although there are a lot of pressure and burden debuting as an actor, as compared to that, this development of anxiety… it feels good.” Kim Jaejoong’s straighforwardness and honesty were felt through the interview.

Why did you choose to debut as an actor through ‘Protect The Boss’?

After acting in Japanese drama ‘Sunao Ni Narenakute’ last year, I have no hurry to plan about acting in domestic drama or movie, thus I thought and researched about it with due considerations. But the schedules and timing were not suitable thus good works were shelved. But after I received the script for ‘Protect The Boss’, I have strong feelings for it suddenly. The plot is very interesting and I feel that the role suits me.

The comparison of “Cold Urban Guy” Cha Mu Won and Hyun Bin

Although Cha Mu Won is good with business and treats others gentlemanly, he always gave a cold and cool impression to others. A bit mysterious too. The role of being a chaebol’s successor is similar to Hyun Bin’s Kim Joo Won but there are differences in the acting and personality.

How do you grade your own acting currently?

This, about 1 mark? I’m still unable to rate my own acting right now. I do not wish to leave an impression to everyone that my acting is a distance from the veterans during filming. I hoped to reduce this difference and co-operate better with the veteran actors.

The prediction for the viewer ratings is…

The higher the better! Keke~~ The previous slot ‘City Hunter’ has very good results, so our ‘Protect The Boss’ shouldn’t “shrink” right. Rather than consideration for the viewer ratings, I would like to place my emphasis on leveling up my acting.

How is the atmosphere at the filming site?

Although I am the youngest at the filming site, Ji Sung hyung holds the role of the atmosphere-creator. I want to receive praises from the veteran actors through good acting. Cha Hwa Yong Sunbae and Teacher Park Yong Kyu, they have given me a lot of opinions and suggestions. When reading of the lines, I tend to laugh and the atmosphere is really amicable.

Harsh words said to sasaeng fans (stalking fans)

Sasaeng fans have their wrongdoings for sure, but there are also lots of problems that lies with some of the rented car drivers which makes us worried. They persuades those who waited for us in front of our house and the overseas fans who followed us. “This is nothing, it is okay to follow them. If found out, just don’t continue to follow, it will do.” Once they catch up on us, it is difficult to get rid of them. Speeding up is dangerous. It is a common sight to follow us on highway till Gyeonggi-do.

The 2 months long world tour has successfully concluded.

This tour is very interesting. After it ended, members and staffs were very happy. Sang our own compositions, and personally involved in the production, and no additional help from other companies, we are very happy, and very proud!

Activities in Japan is still difficult

Not long ago, we held a charity concert for the earthquake relief in Japan. To the members who were able to have a performance in Japan after a long while, it was a very meaningful matter. Although we were pressurized by our ex-company in Japan, and the lots of problems appeared, but we did not mind and I think we would have a lot of issues to settle in the future.

It is still unable to find JYJ’s albums in the record stores in Japan

We are deeply affected by it on why is our JYJ’s album not able to be sold on the market. As a hallyu forerunner, we are saddened by this issue. If we can put in more effort and time and would be able to withstand these tests, then I think we will insist to work hard till the end. If things are still not able to resolve, we would want to apologize to our Japanese fans.

You sang Im Jae Bum’s For You at the concert in Japan and this create a topic

After singing For You at the concert, Im Jae Bum sunbae sang it again in the programme ‘I Am Singer’ and also attracted attention and topics. Although it is not my own song but I was very happy about it. I would like to hold a concert with remake songs or to produce a rock genre album.

Is there anyone you are dating? What’s your ideal type?

Right now there’s no one. There is a big change in my thoughts regarding the opposite sex. In the past, if I were to date with my girlfriend, I would spend a lot of time preparing some gifts, write letters or write a diary and give it as a present to her on our anniversary. But I do not wish to spend time on this now. Am I going to transform into a bad guy? Hahaha. In the past, there would be pre-requisites for my ideal type but there are none now. I think I need a long time to understand the opposite party well.

The Chinese translation where we got this article has 12 Q&As while we can’t find the 12th Q&A in the original Korean article, thus we also decided not to reveal the 12th Q&A in account of its lack of reliability.

[TRANS] 110718 “Good-looking guys must be good at ‘smiling with their eyes’?”: Park Yoo Chun and Lee Min Ho prove it

Recently, a picture of actor Lee Min Ho and JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun smiling with their eyes is uploaded on an online community photo gallery, making female fans’ hearts flutter.

Their smiles are known as best smiles. In SBS’s drama series City Hunter, Lee Min Ho often expresses apathetic faces while playing Yun Seong; however, he smiles brightly with his eyes almost closely when the camera is not running.

On the other hand, Park Yoo Chun, who plays Song Yu-hyeon in MBC’s drama series Miss Ripley, also features a cute smile with his eyes in a formal suit.

Netizens comment: “I guess good-looking guys must be good at smiling with their eyes.” “Their smile…. Oh my gosh.” “They are charismatic and cute.” “They are really attractive.”

[NEWS] 110718 N7W News Front Page Site: JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong: “I’ll just promote Jeju myself!”

According to media reports, popular K-pop trio JYJ plan to file a complaint against Korean TV station KBS for cancelling the group’s scheduled TV appearance on Wednesday night in a concert to promote Jeju Island, which hopes to be one of the New7Wonders of Nature. In May, JYJ became honorary ambassadors for Jeju.

Responding to the KBS cancellation, band member Kim Jaejoong tweeted: “If there’s an obstacle in the way blocking the promotion of our country’s natural landscape then I’ll just promote it myself.” He then added: “@gentlechan If 100,000 people tweet a picture of Jeju Island, won’t at least 20 million people learn of it?” Kim Jaejoong also changed his Twitter profile picture to a picture of Jeju Island.

The KBS cancellation is seen in some quarters as collateral damage in a broader battle between JYJ and SM Entertainment, an independent Korean record label, talent agency, producer and publisher of pop music. A Soompi.com profile of SM Entertainment founder, Lee Soo Man, created the picture of an ambitious, visionary K-pop figure, who is not afraid to drive a hard bargain
“However, there are also some concerns over SME’s growing control over the entire industry. One of them is the on-going lawsuit with JYJ, or the three former members of DBSK. Since the fallout from DBSK last year over contract disputes with SME, JYJ has not been able to land much TV spots nor freely promote their album in Korea — and many fans suspect SME might be putting ‘backdoor pressure’ on local broadcasters as well as industry officials in order to hamper the trio’s promotions as a group. There’s no proof to it, but the recent controversy over KBS and JYJ may also be an indication to the ‘backdoor pressure,’ since JYJ was replaced by SNSD and f(x), two SM artists, on a special KBS TV show. It was reported that KBS abruptly canceled JYJ’s scheduled appearance on its special show for Jeju Island’s Seven Wonders Concert, four days prior to the live broadcast, and JYJ is currently planning to file a compliant as well as a lawsuit over this issue.
Despite the dispute, JYJ management, C-JeS Entertainment, stated on Allkpop.com: “JYJ will be cheering on Jeju Island’s effort, regardless of the current situation.”

[NEWS] 110717 “JYJ Performance Cancellation” When will KBS’s disgrace of the 7 World Wonders be addressed?

The impact of the unilateral cancellation of JYJ’s performance by KBS Jeju and Jeju island is growing larger.

On July 17th, The 7 World Wonders project, lead by the New7Wonders Foundation, sent a tweet on their official twitter to KBS stating “To all our friends in Korea, time to kiss and make up!” in regards to the protests.

They also followed by sending a tweet of praise to JYJ member, Kim Jaejoong, saying “that is the right spirit!”

KBS’s controversial unilateral cancellation notice towards JYJ prompted Kim Jaejoong to tweet “If there are obstacles in prompting our own country’s natural scenery, then under these conditions I will have to promote it by myself” as well as changing his profile photo to a picture of Jeju’s landscape, causing much praise for his actions.

Last May the Jeju Provincial Government and the New7Wonders Foundation appointed JYJ to be Honorary Ambassadors for Jeju in the 7 World Wonders campaign. JYJ were to appear on July 20th as part of the KBS Jeju Special Broadcast Concert. But on the 16th, four days before the show, KBS issued a notice of cancellation to JYJ. There was not a clear reason stated, but it was also announced that SNSD and f(x) would be making an appearance.

A representative of KBS Jeju stated “In our final stages of our broadcast preparation, our plans for SNSD and f(x)’s appearances became possible and we have expressed out greatest apologies to JYJ’s representatives”. However Cjes, who is in charge of JYJ’s management, have said “we have yet to receive an apology”, leading to a second controversy.

Netizens have voiced out in anger, stating “This is an international embarrassment” and “I do not understand what is going on. If you knew from the beginning this would happen, why did you use them?”

[TRANS] 110716 JYJ’s Appearance Is Suddenly Cancelled… Is It SM’s Doing Again?

Popular group JYJ received a notice today that their concert appearance has been cancelled without prior warning. The concert they were schedule to appear in is the ‘KBS Special Live Show Supporting Jeju’s 7 Wonders Nomination’ that is to be held on the 20th.

CEO Baek Chang Joo of C-JeS Entertainment stated, “We suddenly received the notice today(16th) and even I don’t know the reason behind the cancellation.” JYJ have been active as honorary ambassadors for Jeju’s 7 Wonders Nomination for the past month. They’ve been quite active, singing a logo song and recording videos, asking fans to vote for Jeju. This upcoming performance was meant to be another promotional activity for them as honorary ambassadors.

In a phone conversation with ‘OhmyNews’, one of JYJ’s public relations representatives stated, “We’ve already received the cue sheet for the performance and bought plane tickets as well,” and “We are taken aback by this cancellation as JYJ rescheduled other activities to make room for the performance, thinking of the event as a duty to their nation, regardless of the fact that the members are very busy right now because of activities such as the two members’ filming schedules for their dramas.” He continued to say, “We are frustrated because it feels like JYJ’s scarcity and their fandom’s powerful influence has been used and thrown aside.”

This representative continued to raise controversies over the issue by stating, “The manager who talked to KBS was told, ‘The event might become impossible if JYJ appear.’” JYJ have had restrictions placed on their activities in the entertainment industry since their legal dispute with their former entertainment agency began, unable to appear on variety shows of the three main broadcasting companies of Korea.

Currently, JYJ and their representatives are waiting for the reason why the group’s performance has been cancelled. On the 16th, C-JeS Entertainment posted an official notice on their homepage that said, “We ask for your understanding of our situation of having to notify the fans, who have been waiting for this performance, of the sudden cancellation, and we will post another notice as soon as possible once we have confirmed the details behind the situation.”

As Jeju press, such as ‘The Sound of Jeju’ and ‘Jeju Daily’, have already reported JYJ’s performance on the 20th, KBS’ move to prohibit JYJ’s appearance is expected to have a great impact in the industry.

CEO Baek Chang Joo stated, “We will post another official notice as soon as possible as there are fans who have already purchased plane tickets to Jeju, and please look out for further updates on the issue.”

Jeju Island’s Seven Natural Wonders of the World industry is an event sponsored by the ‘New 7 Wonders’ Foundation and has been controversial in terms of the foundation’s identity as well as the industry’s economic effect.

Voting for the Seven Natural Wonders of the World will end on November 1st.
