[NEWS] 110717 KBS Jeju Says: “We Cancelled JYJ Because SNSD and F(x) Are More Effective.”

“In viewing the program as a whole, Girls Generation and F(x)’s appearances are effective.”

On the cancellation of appearance by JYJ from the Jeju 7 Wonders KBS Special Live Broadcast, KBS Jeju Broadcast Agency (hereafter “KBS Jeju”) revealed its position.

The KBS Jeju affiliate who is producing this broadcast said in the telephone conversation with MyDaily on the afternoon of the 17th relayed that due to the appearance of Girls Generation and F(x) the cancellation of JYJ’s appearance had taken place: “We were propelling the appearance of Girls Generation and F(x) from before but they fell through due to scheduling problems. But at the end of the preparation stages for the broadcast, they said that they could appear. The duty of our broadcast station from the perspective of culture is to introduce many stars to the region’s society. In viewing the program as a whole, we considered just what is effective.”

The affiliate continued: “To the side of JYJ, we respectfully revealed our apologetic position.” He explained further “The group SpringSummerFallWinter will appear as planned. But in this broadcast, aside from SpringSummerFallWinter, Girls Generation, and F(x), other artists such as popera singers are planned to appear.”

The local government of Jeju, who is one of the hosts of the event, revealed through an affiliate on the telephone: “We do not know. What kind of power or abilities would we have to procure a celebrity. It is something that KBS Jeju pursued.”

Further, they relayed that they felt they were falsely charged: “Due to this situation, there are posts of protests raining on the bulletin of Jeju’s local government. But this is not something that we have done.” In particular, Jeju worried about there being potential ill effects on the voting for Jeju as one of the 7 Wonders of the World.

Before this, JYJ’s agency C-JeS Entertainment had revealed through its official webpage on the 16th: “JYJ had been looking forward to appearing on the 20th on the special broadcast as honorary ambassadors for Jeju as a member of the 7 Wonders. But today we suddenly received the notification of cancellation. We have currently requested the precise reason for the sudden cancellation of appearance to the hosts. We ask for your understanding on our sudden announcement of cancellation to the fans who had been waiting. We will soon make an additional announcement after confirming the situation.”

Fan: Eric Oppa, what do you think about the things that have happened to JYJ Oppas? What do you think about the things that SM is doing right now, also?

Eric: @Fan1 Erm… I’ll just tell you that things that are very much beyond fans’ thoughts/imagination are happening on this front (the Korean Entertainment industry). You have to win and survive. There is no way other than that.

[NEWS] 110717 JYJ’s Jaejoong & Fans Promote Jeju Island Despite KBS Cancellation

After JYJ’s appearance on KBS’s Jeju Island special was suddenly cancelled, Jaejoong took it to his personal Twitter account to promote Jeju Island.

Jaejoong tweeted, “If there is an obstacle for me to promote our country’s natural landscape, I’ll promote our country myself.” He then changed his profile picture to a photo of a mountain in Jeju Island.

JYJ was initially confirmed to perform on KBS’s special program to promote Jeju Island as one of the “New 7 Wonders of the World.” Despite the program’s scheduled broadcast date of July 20th, JYJ’s appearance was suddenly cancelled.

On July 16th, C-JeS Entertainment’s homepage was updated with an announcement stating, “JYJ was scheduled to perform on KBS’s Jeju Island special on the 20th, but we have received a notice of cancellation. We have requested an explanation for the cancellation from the organizer.”

Netizens reacted, “I would like to know the exact reason,” “Does it make sense that the ambassadors of Jeju Island don’t appear on the special?”, “I’m going to promote [Jeju Island] too,” and “You didn’t give up, so I won’t give up either.”

In support of Jaejoong, fans of JYJ have began changing their Twitter profile pictures to photos of Jeju Island’s landscape.

[TRANS] 110717 Unclear Whether There Will Be An Appointment Ceremony For JYJ As Honorary Ambassadors for Jeju

Jeju event hosts do not give a clear answer, but instead have aired a (TV) advertisement that declared that “Girls Generation and F(x) Will Appear in the KBS 7 Wonders for Jeju Event” and is thus growing the controversy.

Further, it has become unclear as to whether JYJ’s appointment ceremony as honorary ambassadors will be held or not, and so the dissatisfaction is forecasted to grow. JYJ’s affiliates relayed: “Originally we heard that the appointment ceremony as honorary ambassadors will be held on the 20th, matching the schedule of the performances on the 20th. But as the schedule is entirely cancelled, we do not know what will happen to the appointment ceremony either.”

JYJ Kim Jaejoong also poured out his bitter heart through his Twitter: “If there are obstacles in promoting the wonders of our country, in this case I will promote it even if by myself.”

[TRANS] 110717 Zuo Qi Bo’s Statement On Remake Of ‘Wasurenaide’‏

Notification Regarding ‘Redundant’

Hi everyone, I am Zuo Qi Bo. Please give me some time to clarify this whole matter.

Regarding the leaking of the song ‘Redundant’ on internet and the causing of TVXQ’s fans unhappiness over the remake of the Japanese song ‘Wasurenaide’ written and composed by Korean singer Kim Jaejoong, I would like to deeply apologise.

I do know that this song carries a lot of your stories and memories and believed that I will join in your big united loving family, because I am the same as you all, liking Kim Jaejoong, liking his talent and vocal. Kim Jaejoong is also my idol and role model at the same time. Therefore we will cautiously settle the problems for this song ‘Redundant’, and we will eagerly try to reach an angreement with Kim Jaejoong himself. Cassiopeia, please be at ease! This song release will currently be freezed and would not be released or sang until an agreement is reached.

Additionally, with regards to ‘Redundant’.
Composed by: Kim Jaejoong
Remake Lyrics by: Zuo Qi Bo/Wei Su
OT: Wasureinaide
This incident is what I did not predicted to be and lack of consideration for the feelings of TVXQ’s fans. I would like to apologise again!!! Hopefully I can receive forgiveness!!!

On the other hand, this incident has nothing to do with Tian Yu Media, Avex Music (Avex China) and SM Entertainment, it is not a resale of Jaejoong’s song by Avex, as said by everyone.
Hoped that everyone can understand. Please don’t blame the unrelated company, you can blame me for everything. Because I chose to sing this song and thus I should be the one to bear the responsibility.
We will assure the composer’s rights and cherish the copyrights!
I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused and troubles! I lacked the consideration when doing things! Sorry!
Thank you! Hopefully everyone can give me a chance! Please don’t pursue this matter again!

T/N: There is supposedly an album to be released on the 18th of July by singer Zuo Qi Bo. He is also a singer under Avex China. The songs were leaked before release and fans realised the remake of Wasurenaide in it, thus have been expressing their unhappiness, questioning if Avex sold this song without Jaejoong’s agreement. Thus, Zuo Qi Bo released this statement on his weibo.
Please note that copyrights issue between the members and company is not an announced matter. We do not know the agreement regarding personal compositions between the members and Avex/SME. Whether Zuo Qi Bo/Avex/Tian Yu Media/SME did sold/transfer/buy/steal Wasurenaide or not, infringement of copyright is still a serious matter.

[TRANS] 110715 We Open Kim Jaejoong’s Bag To Find A Pack Of Hwatu Cards?

A corner that can’t be avoided in our interviews is the ‘bag opening’ corner.

We ask stars to open their bags without prior notice in order to get one step closer to these famous faces.

Some interesting items were caught on camera in the first half of this year.

What stuck out most were Gong Hyo Jin’s pink tumbler, Kim Jaejoong’s blue pack of Hwatu cards, Yesung’s two pairs of jeans and Kim Ah Joong’s ID card from her drama.

Idol Kim Jaejoong made those around him laugh when he brought out an item that was unexpected. What he pulled out was a pack of Hwatu cards; what was most interesting about the pack was that the backs of the cards were blue. He said that he uses them to pass time when JYJ are performing overseas, adding that he usually wins most of the time when he plays with the other two members.

[TRANS] 110716 “Backdoor Pressure” Threatened KBS to Have the Entire Event Shut Down if They Air JYJ?

Earlier today, JYJ received a notice of cancellation regarding their appearance on a KBS special covering the ‘New Seven Wonders’, for which they were appointed honorary ambassadors for back in May.

Just four days away from the broadcast and with tickets for the event already bought, C-JeS Entertainment expressed their confusion and disappointment with the sudden cancellation notice through a post on their official homepage.

Recent developments have hinted at the possibility of backdoor pressure being the root cause, as a representative of JYJ’s public relations company revealed, “Our manager spoke with KBS officials and they had told him, ‘If we allow JYJ to appear on this program, the entire event will simply become impossible to hold.’”

Because of their lawsuit against SM Entertainment, JYJ has been facing difficulty appearing on MBC, SBS, and KBS for some time now. A similar case arose with Yoochun’s ‘Miss Ripley‘ coverage earlier this year, so the possibility of backdoor pressure isn’t too much of an exaggeration.

Currently, a request for a reasonable explanation has been lodged to the event hosts and a response is being awaited. Stay tuned for more updates.
