SM Entertainment’s singers, including Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, TVXQ, SHINee and f(x), will set ablaze the Hallyu craze in Europe.

The Visit Korea Year Committee has revealed that it will be promoting tourism in Korea to tie in with the ‘SM TOWN LIVE World Tour in Paris’ concerts that are to be held at Le Zenith de Paris this weekend.

The concert that will be performed by SM Entertainment’s singers has been renamed ‘SM TOWN LIVE World Tour in Paris to commemorate 2010-2012 Visit Korea Year (VISIT KOREA YEAR Presents SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR in PARIS)’ and will be held across two days as requested by the European Hallyu fans.

The Visit Korea Year Committee will have a promotional stand at the concert venue to meet and greet the 14,000 fans who will be attending the two shows.

The Visit Korea Year Committee recently began a ‘K-pop Cover Dance Contest’ that is catered to Hallyu fans as one of its activities.

JYJ’s Japanese charity concert ended in great success.

Having already donated 600 million Won for the victims of the earthquake that shook the nation of Japan in March, JYJ held a successful charity concert on the 7th at 2pm and 7pm with 20,000 fans at the Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo.

This was JYJ’s first Japanese concert since Avex put a halt on all JYJ activities last October so the two-hour performance was meaningful for both JYJ and their Japanese fans.

Hiroko Saito(25), a fan who attended the concert, stated, “I was nervous because I thought the concert was cancelled due to Avex’s obstructions. I was so happy to see JYJ performing in Japan.” Yuko Yoko(37) stated, “I received a great amount of courage from JYJ who were sincere in their worries throughout the concert of the victims of the earthquake. I will continue to support JYJ’s future activities.”

CEO Baek Chang Joo of C-JeS Entertainment stated, “The fans played a big role in holding this concert,” and “Though others tried to stop us from using certain concert venues, they were unable to break down the passion of the fans who support JYJ. Please think of this performance, not only as a charity concert, but the signal that signifies the start of JYJ’s Japanese activities.“

JYJ, who successfully ended their charity concert in Japan, will be greeting Korean fans at the Busan Sajik Indoor Gymnasium on the 11th and 12th of this month.

JYJ’s popularity continues to soar as their music essay ‘Their Rooms, Our Story’ was deemed the best seller of celebrity-written books of this year by Kyobo Books.

The schedule of TVXQ, when it was a five-member group, has become a hot topic once more.

Recently, TVXQ’s schedule was sorted and released in an online community, catching the attention of many netizens.

Spanning from July of 2008 to July of 2009, the schedule is deemed to have been ordered and sorted by a TVXQ fan and includes the phrase ‘This excludes some activities such as photoshoots for magazines, music recording sessions, filming for MVs, filming for DVDs, photoshoots for photobooks, and filming for CFs.‘

The schedule surprised many as it shows an endless repetition of flying in and out of the country with at least 3~4 scheduled activities per day and little to no rest.

Netizens who saw this stated, “It would be hard to follow if one was not healthy”, “It’s a suicidal schedule”. “This must be the kind of road people have to walk on to be the best” and “They must not even have the time to eat. That’s sad.”

U-Know Yunho revealed a special experience that was shared by the members of TVXQ.

The episode of SBS’ ‘Strong Heart’ that aired on the 7th was a ‘Strong Heart Special, King of Kings’ special in which those crowned as the best speakers in previous episodes of Strong Heart appeared to battle it out with their wit and stories

On this day, a one-on-one talk battle was held as a tournament to determine the best ‘Strong Heart’. The first round as TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho against SS501′s Kim Hyun Joong.

U-Know Yunho revealed that, “We flew to Bora Bora once to film the music video of ‘HI YA YA Summer Day’. It was like a scene in a movie. We were thinking of things to do and decided upon water polo. We were wearing nothing but swimsuits and we got so into it and played so passionately that our swimsuits came off."

He also made the audience erupt into laughter when he said, “We kept playing water polo completely naked when our staff suddenly told us that we were going to start filming. We couldn’t get out of the water because of our state. We made up the excuse that we were in the middle of an important match. But we didn’t know whose swimsuit was whose because they were all floating on the water.“

U-Know Yunho elicited the curiosity of those listening to his stories when he added, “That situation ended well but that’s not all.”

He explained, “Back then, the hotel we stayed at was the kind that let you walk out your door and go swimming straight away. The floor was made out of glass so that you could see into the ocean from the room and you could see into the room from inside the ocean.”

He added that the members had swum in the ocean to peek into the rooms of others as he said, “Everyone else there were on their honeymoon, and curiosity got the better of us once it got dark,” and “We said ‘Let’s have a special experience’ and began swimming on our backs.”

U-Know Yunho had the entire studio rolling in laughter as he said, “We went pretty deep so it was foggy but we could still see into the rooms. The five of us were peeking in when we saw a couple kissing. We went around to all the rooms as if we were on a world tour. I will take what we saw on that night to my grave.“

He added with a smile, “There were jellyfish there but we were so focused on looking at what was going on in the rooms that we didn’t notice them,” and “We became men at Bora Bora.”

He continued to add, “If you look at pictures of us closely, you’ll see that we had a young and innocent image till then but since the day after that incident, you could see the masculinity that we emitted.“

Kim Hyun Joong had the audience in fits of laughter as he commented, “I want him to tell me more about this in our free time. Winning isn’t important anymore because I keep imagining things.”

The day before yesterday, I had drinks with ex-Tohoshinki’s Jejung at an acquaintance’s shop, after a long time.

By chance, I came to the shop and it was an accidental reunion, but I’m really happy that we met!

We made a promise to meet during the Korean Tournament last year, but due to our schedules we couldn’t do it, so I’m really happy about this accidental meeting!

He’s a really great guy!

Supported by popular group JYJ’s Kim Junsu, the “House of Love” project has once again bore fruit, presenting another family with a gift of happiness.

Kim Junsu has been silently working with the UN-established AdraKorea, and has been supporting the “House of Love” project which helps to improve the living conditions of the handicapped and other people in need.

On the afternoon of 3 June, at Taean-eup , Taean-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, a “moving in” ceremony was held for Ga Mo and family. A multi-cultural family, Ga Mo and family were living in an old house with poor living conditions for 40 years or more, but with Kim Junsu’s help, they now have a designated kitchen and washroom, as well as a study room and other amenities for easy living, an elegant and beautiful house made from wood.

At the “moving-in” ceremony, Ga Mo’s family members had tears in their eyes as they said, “I don’t know what to say, but we’re really thankful.” Ga Mo’s niece was smiling happily. “I really like my new study, I can now study hard in my own room, and draw as many drawings as I like.”

The construction of this “House of Love” was led by Jin Tae Gu, head of Taean-gun and Kim Dae Seung, Chairman of AdraKorea, with volunteers and villagers etc participating as well, who also came to congratulate them.

With Kim Junsu’s support, this is the fifth project for “House of Love.” Thanks to Kim Junsu’s help, the handicapped and elderly living alone in Chungcheongnam-do’s Danjin-gun and Taean-gun , as well as other people in poor living conditions, have found a new home. This is the first time a multi-cultural family has become a beneficiary (of this project.)

Kim Junsu started his charitable contributions to AdraKorea in 2008, and this organization has been using their funds to expand the “House of Love” project.

Kim Junsu’s charity activities are not limited to Korea, but also extend to other countries. In Cambodia, the “housing renovation and improvement project” is being implemented. As the “Xiah Junsu Village” had attracted a lot of attention, this project was expanded to other areas including Pusat, improving the unsafe living conditions for the impoverished children of Cambodia.

Kim Junsu’s charitable actions have given more warmth and kindness to the global village.
