Pimping: participate in the Saranghae Project! :)
KBS2's Monday/Tuesday drama [SungKyunKwan Scandal] has finally hit the double digits for the viewership ratings.

The episode of [SungKyunKwan Scandal] released on the 28th increased by 1% from the previous day's episode, to achieve nationwide ratings of 10.2% (according to AGB Nielson's media research on the 29th), which makes it the first time the drama broke through 10% since it started airing on 30 August.

[SungKyunKwan Scandal], which started airing after [My Girlfriend is a Gumiho] began airing, faced a lot of pressure as it had the same broadcasting time slot as MBC's [Dong Yi] and SBS's [Giant], only recording a rating of 6.3% for its first episode.

However, with a group of young actors as the cast, like TVXQ's Yoochun, Song Joongki, Yoo Ah In, Park Minyoung and Jeon Tae Su, the drama has attracted viewers who are in their 10-20s, causing the ratings to increase and finally hit the double digits, preparing to catch up with [Dong Yi] and [Giant].

On the other hand, [Dong Yi] maintained its 24.4% rating from the previous day, while [Giant] climbed 0.8% from the previous day to record a rating of 23.1%, resulting in a close contest for the #1 position for Monday/Tuesday dramas.

Freedom of expression!

The next day after “The…” jacket shooting, they had recording in a studio in Korea!

It was Junsu who was the first to go into the recording booth… As soon as he arrived at the studio, he did warming up by singing loudly.

He seemed to be completely ready for this. I think he’s so cool with his charisma when he’s singing with a freedom of expression

Jejung went drowsy…

Jejung sat down on a comfortable sofa while Junsu was recording, he finally fell asleep as he’s listening to the music.

Just take a break, your turn will be the last

Check, check

Yuchun is checking his part at which he supposed to sing.

Yuchun had a shooting schedule for his drama starting from the evening, so he was so hasty as he said “I gotta hurry!” but, Yuchun… why don’t you take off your bag first? (laughs)

Isn’t it cute!?

A cute kitty one of the members brought at the recording studio, it was Jejung who keeps it as a pet. All staffs took pictures of it because it was so cute! Jejung also seemed to be proud of it (laughs).

These are cat food and water Master Jejung prepared for at the corner of the studio (laughs)

Isn't it cute!?

Today, one of our members brought a cute precious little one to the recording studio.

It's owner is Jejung.
All the staff were taking photos of it.
The kitten's small face is really pretty!

Jejung was really pleased! (laugh)

P.S.: Those were the cat's food and water placed at a corner of the recording studio by the kitty's owner. -- Kim Jejung (laugh)

"The hard work we put in to be the best in what we do has so far been rewarding. There are of course times where that is not the case. however with the strength from our love of music, the constant support of fans, family and friends, we are able to overcome any hardships. We believe that the hardships we experience help us to persevere and ultimately mold our characters to be more mature. As we mature as individuals, our music will also mature, and as our music matures, we hope that it can bring hope and strength to others."

That is the philosophy of JYJ, comprised of three members from South Korea: Kim JaeJung, Park Yuchun and Kim Junsu. JYJ is releasing its new global debut album The Beginning (Atlantic Records) on November 28 in the U.S. The title of the album is synonymous with their journey to date and marks a first for the group to release an English language album.

JYJ was originally from the boy band TVXQ, and Tohoshinki which was formed in 2003 in Korea. JYJ is arguably the biggest boy band Internationally, evidenced by the trio making it into the Guinness Book Records in 2008 and 2009 for having the World's Largest Official Fan Club at over 800,000 members in Seoul alone and being The Most Photographed Celebrities in the World shot an estimated 500 million times in magazines, albums jackets, and commercials from the time of their debut in 2003 to May 19, 2009 with their former group.

JYJ has teamed up with A-list US producers Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins for The Beginning JYJ's musical style consists of many genres such as pop, R&B and dance; they are also known for singing a cappella. Besides the catchy first single by Kanye West, The Beginning also sees original compositions by top music producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. The two tracks are "Empty" and "Be My Girl". "I'm really glad to work with JYJ on their debut album. It's all about the East meeting the West these days and the world is becoming a melting pot of various cultures. To have Kanye and myself champion the cause of unifying the world through the international language of music and introducing top artistes from one end of the globe to this end in America makes this a very special project to us" adds Rodney Jerkins.

How did JYJ hook up with West and Jerkins? "Our Korean producer has connections with them in the US and thought it would be a great idea tor JYJ to collaborate with them. So a few calls were made and we were thrilled to find out that the feeling of wanting to work together was a mutual one!"

About working with such luminaries as West and Jerkins, JYJ says, "It was a great new experience that we are really privileged to have. We felt the pressure of working with such superstars initially, but our anxieties were allayed when Kanye/Rodney showed us great support. We were able to have a really good time working with them and exchanging ideas about music with one another."

According to JYJ band member Kim JaeJung, "Being a singer was a dream of mine since I was in middle school." For Kim Junsu, it was even earlier. "I wanted to be a singer since I was in elementary school." The whole band agrees on their motivation to create music as a career: "We all want to always be real and true to who we are and what we do, and to always do our best. We choose honor over money and fame."

"We constantly listen to many genres of music in order to help in being better singers, composers, musicians, and we are inspired by many artists; from rock to R&B to acapella to piano pieces." Some of their musical influences/heroes include Brian McKnight, Boyz II Men, Stevie Wonder, and of course Michael Jackson.

JYJ has just recently started writing songs in English, which is not their first language. According to Kim Jae Jong, "There is pressure as we are not native English speakers, but we are not daunted by it. We hope our music can cut across the language barrier and still deliver our message." Adds Park Yuchun, "I think it is liberating to be able to express our music in English, if it is acceptable to our fans. I hope this will help bring our music to more people around the world and bring us closer to those who like our music."

"Being able to perform in a more widely known language is really wonderful as we are now able to reach out and connect with more fans with my music," says Kim Junsu. "There is also a deeper connection with existing English speaking fans who are familiar with our Korean and Japanese music."

To those who have not yet heard JYJ? "Prepare to be surprised," advises JYJ. "Just relax and leave any pre-conceived ideas about Korean artistes/Asian pop aside and listen to us with an open heart."

JYJ Announces "The Beginning"

New album from the ex-members of Asia's top selling male vocal act "TVXQ" collaborates with international music superstars on global debut.

28 September 2010, International: JYJ, which includes 3 main members from arguably the biggest selling male vocal group in Asia "TVXQ" has teamed up with A-list US producers Kanye West and Rodney Jerkins for their global album debut "The Beginning". The title of the album is synonymous with their journey to date and marks a first for the group to release an English language album.

JYJ has an enormous fan base worldwide and the trio made it to the Guinness Book Records in 2008 and 2009 for having the World's Largest Official Fan Club at over 800,000 members in Seoul alone and being The Most Photographed Celebrities in the World shot an estimated 500 million times in magazines, albums jackets, and commercials from the time of their debut in 2003 to May 19 2009 with their former group.

The first single off the album "Ayyy Girl" is produced by Kanye West who lends his vocals to the song. It also features the maestro of spoken word, Malik "The Poet" Yusef. It's a song that depicts the quest of seeking that perfect girl but when you find her, things are never quite as perfect as you envision it to be.

Says Kanye West about the collaboration and the inspiration behind the song, "Perception is often is what you imagine something to be. Achieving the goal of your perceived subject and living it out is often a far cry from your imagination. In love, working relationships, friendships, there will always be that shortfall. For JYJ, I believe it's an apt song for them as it depicts the maneuvering of the many complicated relationships and emotions they have had in their lives and the long way they have come in order to launch this album."

Besides the catchy first single track by Kanye West, The Beginning also sees two original compositions by top music producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins. The two tracks are "Empty" and "Be My Girl".

"I'm really glad to work with JYJ on their debut album in America. It's all about the East meeting the West these days and the world is becoming a melting pot of various cultures. To have Kanye and myself champion the cause of unifying the world through the international language of music and introducing top artistes from one end of the globe to this end in America makes this a very special project to us." adds Rodney Jerkins.

Other than the creative collaborations with the US top producers onboard, JYJ who has been dabbling in songwriting since their teenage days, have also contributed a song each to the album. The tracks are "Still in Love" Jae Jung, "I Can Soar" Junsu and "I Love You" Yuchun.

"We had faced been beset with many challenges in setbacks these recent months but we have finally completed an album which the boys are extremely proud of. The Beginning is a product of their blood, sweat and tears, and they hope fans will see the efforts that went into making this excellent album. As a partaker in their journey, I am so proud of them at this moment for what they have achieved." Says Mr. Baek Chang Ju, the trio's manager and CEO of C-JeS Entertainment.

The album comprises of 7 tracks and 3 remixes. Jae Chong, one of Asia's leading music producers has also contributed a track on it and played a big role in organizing and producing the overall project with the 3 members.

The Beginning is produced by Show Shop Entertainment and distributed published by Warner Music worldwide. The album will be released on CD & digital formats from 12th October. There will also be a special limited edition 'Luxury Package' which will be numbered and limited to only 99,999 sets.

Previously preparing for the release of their “world-wide” album, the members who are at their peak - Micky Yuchun, Xiah Junsu, Hero JaeJoong, spill their hearts out about their feelings of obligations regarding their overseas activities, attracting attention.

Recently,Micky Yuchun, Xiah Junsu and Hero JaeJoong took part in the relay interview that was carried out at the G20 Seoul Summit’s formal blog, and clarified that, “The overseas fans don't just listen to our songs, but because to Korea, they are treasured, and they provide help, as singers who represent Korea, we especially feel a lot of responsibility towards our overseas activities.”.

Subsequently, they made an additional remark, “ Nowadays, other than Hallyu stars, there are also many Koreans who are being noted of by the world. As we feel indebted to the fact that the good feelings people have towards Korea are increasing, we will work hard to be more careful and do better.”.

Currently, Micky Yuchun is acting in KBS 2TV’s “SungKyunKwan Scandal”, and is carrying out the “Consideration Campaign” at the G20 summit. He responded to a sympathetic question about the situation, “While studying “Analects” to be able to speak like a Confucian scholar, in order to become a tranquil and important person, I am learning what kind of appearance should be possessed. To become a greater citizen of the Republic of Korea, it seems that it will be important to have the attitude to remain faithful to the system and pay careful consideration to the ways of the older times.”.

Xiah Junsu is in charge of the “throw rubbish into the rubbish bin” etiquette, and Hero JaeJoong is in charge of the “when you bump into a passing stranger, be able to apologize” global manners.

In particular, Hero JaeJoong added, “While carrying out activities in Japan, I saw many people who possessed the mannerism to have understanding all the time, even for small issues. To carry out the Consideration campaign this time, if the fans too would carry out the feeling of consideration together with us, it would be great.”.

Wrapping up the G20 relay interview, Micky Yuchun, Xiah Junsu and Hero JaeJoong said, “We are very happy to participate in this world event to better inform Koreans…”

Three members of TVXQ (Micky Yoochun, Youngwoong Jaejoong and Xiah Junsu), involved in a lawsuit with their Korean management company SM Entertainment, will be releasing their worldwide album next month.

The three members' new album will be distributed in the US and across Asia through Warner Music as well as other foreign countries through iTunes. Since leaving SM, the three members have released a mini-album in Japan and been involved in the production of the OST for Micky Yoochun's drama, 'SungKyunKwan and Scandal'. However, this will be their first ever album release in Korea and in the global market as a trio.

On the 27th, an interview was released on the blog of the G20 Seoul Summit where the trio expressed that '[their] goal is to make the release of their worldwide album a success' and that they will be able to 'promote Korean culture through this album.'

As suggested by the name, the production of the worldwide album was led by hip hop star Kanye West as well as renowned producer Rodney Jerkins. The trio flew over to Los Angeles back in July where they recorded 5-6 tracks.

The producers of the album have expressed that 'Since a number of US Pop composers were involved in the production, and the members recorded only in English, the album will have more of a pop-feel and the style will be completely different from that of TVXQ. The members put a lot of thought and effort into ensuring that their pronunciation was correct during the recording of the album.'

The trio, currently working on the finishing touches of the album in Korea, are having trouble deciding on a new group name.

According to the parties involved, 'It would be best not to use the name TVXQ. 'B1' derived from the word 'Beginning' as well as 'JYJ', which is made of the first letters of the members' names, are currently being considered, but no decisions have been reached.'

Avex's recent decision to discontinue the members’ activities has caused unease amongst fans, and to this, the trio argued 'We are the victims' and 'we have completely no intention to discontinue activities.'

It was reported on the a local newspaper in Shanghai that 'TVXQ's trio will be participating in the 2010 East Asia All Stars Concert in Hongkou Stadium in Shanghai on October 23rd'.

Since Avex announced the suspension of the trio's group activities in Japan on the 16th, many fans have been worried that the trio's promotions within Greater China will be affected. However, it was revealed to us that 'despite their current situation in Japan, all activities within Greater China will not be affected; they are managed by East Asia Entertainment, not Avex.'

It has been a year since Jaejoong, Junsu and Yoochun have performed in Shanghai. Their last visit was during 'Mirotic in Shanghai' in 2009. It is likely that many Chinese fans will be gathered this time around to see the TVXQ trio.

The three members of TVXQ signed with Hong Kong-based company East Asia Entertainment earlier this month and will officially be starting up their promotions in Greater China!

Many big name idol groups are planning to return this October, and that means the K-pop world is bracing for yet another epic clash.

The four most anticipated groups set to comeback in October are SHINee, 2PM, B2ST, and J.Y.J.

SHINee’s comeback for their second album was extremely well received, as they had numerous wins with their title song, ‘Lucifer‘. Although the song generated controversy in conspiracy theory circles, the boys proved to be a gigantic tidal wave that washed out many competitors. They will be returning with ‘Hello‘ on October 4th, and the song will be nostalgic for fans, as they will be going back to a cutesy concept.

It has been quite awhile since the original beast idols have been on stage, however, 2PM is planning to have a comeback next month as well. JYP Entertainment has stated, “We are planning to have them come back in October, however, it is not official.” The group is also currently set for a Japanese debut, as they are planning a showcase in December.

B2ST has hard proof that their comeback is generating mounds of anticipation, as the pre-0rders for their 3rd album, ‘Mastermind‘, has already shot up to the number one spot. With a military concept, they will be coming back with an aggressive sound in the title track, ‘Breath/Soom(숨)‘.

Although J.Y.J has been going through tough times, the three are set to return to Korean fans with a new album. Warner Music Korea is the current company that manages their songs, and on September 27th, they stated in an interview with Newsen, “We know that they are working on an album planned for October. We do not know the details.” Famous Korean producer, Kim Hyung Shik, is currently working on the album with the members.

As you can see, the upcoming month is definitely star-packed.

The 3 answered to the interview on the “Seoul Summit G20″‘s official blog about what they think about working in foreign states and their future plans.

In the interview the 3 answered,

“When you work aboard, your feelings towards your hometown gets stronger, and you feel the pressure more. The people who loves us, supports Korea with love, so it makes us want to do even better too.” Also, “Recently there are many artists that get attention from all around the world, therefore even before they go anywhere, the fans get to know Korea and has love towards Korea”.

Yoochun is currently on KBS 2TV drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal”, he said “In order to act as a Confucian Scholar I need to study “Analects” and learn how to become a truly important person,” and “It seems that in order to make Korea bigger, we need to protect the system/methods and consider the other sides feelings as well”, which caught the viewers’ eyes.

The 3 answered on their future plans, “Right now our biggest goal is to give all to the album that is going to be released world wide and to succeed. We hope that with this album, we can promote Korea more”.

They said “We actually don’t have any goals we picked. We want to challenge when it comes to music and it seems that there is no end to this greed. We want to be able to show ourselves as an individual position”.

The 3 are currently working individually in works such as dramas and musicals, and getting ready for their “world wide” album release

So bad, what is it…!?

Shooting started for the trio altogether, again
Jejung supposed to look at the camera, Junsu and Yuchun supposed to look at each of their direction as a posing this time… but…
Yuchun seemed couldn’t stop smiling in this situation (laughs)
he couldn’t stand it, and finally laughing so loud

“What are you laughing at~~~!!!” Junsu desperately protested against his attitude (laughs)
Jejung was trying hard not to laugh as he was acting with his look seriously, but apparently Yuchun couldn’t make it.

What if looking at each other…?

The two of them gazed at each other this time…

As Junsu threw sharp eyes to him as if he’s aiming to win a game, Yuchun also couldn’t help but continue laughing

Finally Jejung also started to laugh… (laughs)
“Yuchun, come on what is it~~~again~~~!!!” said Junsu getting irritated, “What am I supposed to do~~~ So funny~~~!!!” Yuchun mumbled in agony. Now nobody can stop him anymore? (laughs)

and then, it finally stopped…

Jejung and Yuchun looked at the camera with a cute looking.
seems to be tired to laugh at last (laughs)

Junsu, it’s dripping…!!

During the break, they were talking about the title of their mini-album!

Then, Junsu came in while was having a coffee…
“Junsu, the water is dripping!” said hasty Jejung!

Apparently, the melting water from the ice coffee was dripping from the bottom.

Jejung is really like a mom.

Good job~☆

After jacket shooting, they were recording commentary video for the official website!

Jejung couldn’t talk smoothly, they almost began to laugh again but the trio finished the recording to the end at last.

They took filming for “ending shot” as usual ♪

Yuchun was being reigned by the God of cuteness (laughs).

As there were some serious/hard pose, it took a long time to complete the shooting for the cover of “The…”

Although the trio showed smiley faces all the time, yet they just made it right when they supposed to do!

We could finished shooting that was fully loaded with the trio’s cool and grown up looks.
