[TRANS] 1000302 Song Yujin's Blog Updates

T/N: Song Yujin, born March 1, 1969. Origin, Korea. He states himself as a culture broadcaster and entertainer. He appears in some Japanese CS programs as a commentator for Korean pops and drama related programs, and he is also a writer for some Japanese women’s magazines. He has been continuously trying to support Tohoshinki, by collecting signatures of the fans, trying to submit a petition to the Korean Government, and holding fan meetings in Osaka and Tokyo.

Tohoshinki as of this moment...

(few sentences omitted)

What kind of activities will Tohoshinki do in Japan, as of this moment?
I am also very anxious, but the situation seems to be disclosed in the near future.

However, their activities in Korea is still unknown.
Avex seems to be going on, regardless of the situation in Korea.
Anyway, the 5 members should be able to hold activities in Korea, too.

Please refer to my livedoor blog for today and tomorrow.

What will become of Tohoshinki’s activities in Japan in the future?

What will become of Tohoshinki’s activities…?
Everyone is anxious about Avex, that has sold out all of their SM stock.
Since they sold out…I believe that they are now able to do the management of the 3 members.

I think that if they are one of SM’s two big stockholoders,
it may be very difficult for them to neglect SM and support the activities of the 3 members in Japan.
Anyway, I am relieved that Avex has not given up hope for Tohoshinki's management as 5 in Japan.

But for Korea, the activities for the 5 members together is…premature.

When it comes to blog updates, I always wait to hear from Matsuura-san and Song Yujin.
Both of them understand the fans and even tries to help us understand the situation despite the fact that the words they can utter are VERY LIMITED.

Song Yujin, thank you very much for this update.
Although I was happy to read about AVEX not giving up hope for Tohoshinki as 5,
I am quite saddened by the last line.

Nevertheless, let's continue to keep the faith everyone!
Tohoshinki, fighting!
Cassiopeia and Bigeast, fighting!

[TRANS] 100302 Tohoshinki's Jaejoong in Women Weekly

T/N: women weekly is a gossip magazine and we’re just a translator

Blowing away the dissolution news, the five attracts everyone and is starting to become a “legend”…

“When she first met Jaejoong, he had memorized lines of the character played by Kimura Takuya from the drama ‘Long Vacation’ and Kitagawa (the author of the book Long Vacation) was so impressed. He said he was a huge fan of the drama and that he learned japanese from watching it.”- drama staff

We got the news that the popular group Tohoshinki’s Jaejoong is going to be in a Japanese drama! The drama ‘素直 に なれなく て (Sunao Ni Narenakute) is going to be aired in April on Thursday’s from 10pm on Fuji TV. The script writer is the person who wrote “Long Vacation”, Kitagawa Eriko.

“The story is based on twitter -which is popular right now, and through twitter 5 men/women meet. (T/N: Oooh. This must really get the interest of the people with twitter accounts) Eita plays the character of a new camera man and Ueno Juri is playing the part-time employee at a private high school. Also Seki Megumi is the best friend who works in the field of mass communication, and Tamayama Tetsuji is the guy who gathers the five.” – sports newspaper.

There are other actor/actress like Igawa Haruka, Watanabe Eri, and Fubuki Jun, but the casts who are going to be involved with the five has still not been announced. The 5th character is said that Kitagawa Eriko named Jaejoong to play that role. “After Kitagawa met Jaejoong it seems that she has been contacting him a few times over the phone, that’s what she wrote on her blog” – drama staff.

Last November in Korea the movie “Heaven’s Postman” written by Kitagawa said Jaejoong was perfect for the “pure and naive image” and made Jaejoong the main character even though he hasn’t had a lot of acting experience. Continuing from that, he was probably picked as one of the cast.

Trouble filming due to the fans that filled the filming area!?

The fifth character is “a doctor that has pressure due to not being able to show good results”. (This is the character that Jaejoong is rumored to be playing) Some days ago Jaejoong came to Japan secretly and seemed to be finishing his final meeting and adjustments.

“There has been offers from many mass media to secretly have an interview.” – drama staff

Until the movie he did, he only had little experience in acting. He was an extra in the movie “Brother Hood”. But now he has a lot of attention and can grab interest of many towards the topic. Also since it is a continuous drama, they are watching out since fans may go to the filming area that is going to take place in Japan. “Last year, at the place where he filmed his movie, many Japanese and Korean fans filled the place and they had trouble filming.” – sports newspaper.

[TRANS] 100301 Thirty one Proud Koreans

91st Anniversary of the 3·1 Movement - Winning Japan;
31 Proud Koreans

[24] TVXQ - singer
Five member group 'TVXQ' is experiencing explosive popularity in China and Taiwan as well as Japan. They have ranked first on the Oricon Charts eight times and have sold more than 3 million albums. They were the first group to hold a concert at the Tokyo Dome and they always attract a large crowd wherever they go.

Note: The 3.1 Movement or March First Movement was a series of demonstrations for Korean national independence from Japan that began on March 1, 1919 in Seoul and spread throughout Korea. Although the demonstrations were peaceful, nearly 23,000 were killed or wounded in clashes with the Japanese police and military. After the demonstrations were finally suppressed 12 months later, the Japanese government reformed its governance of Korea and gave the Koreans a small measure of self-government. Today March 1st is celebrated in both North and South Korea as a national holiday in honor of the demonstrators' patriotism.
