[INFO] Jaejoong Likes T-pain?

>> Saturday, February 6, 2010

In the recent interview with S-Cawaii magazine, Jaejong revealed that he listens to T-Pain when he wants to relax. "The lyrics are a mixture of many languages such as English and Spanish, and I like the rhythm of his rap." While it's not unreasonable of ol' Visual Shock to like T-Pain, it is unexpected. Many fans have expressed their surprise, considering how different it is from what Jaejoong performs in DBSK. Among other things.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with T-pain, check out some of his songs here:

I'm Sprung (2005)

I Can't Believe It (2008)

And perhaps most importantly:

I'm On A Boat ft. T-Pain (2009)

(Did you know TVXQ is on boat too?)

Although the music style is different, you can still taste a bit similarity in the composition of 'Shelter'. Although the chorus was composed by Junsu, the rest of the song is Jaejoong's work.

So what do you think of T-Pain?
Or of Jaejoong's T-Pain predilection?

(Laughing that the advert on the side of the screen by NoiseBot is of a girl wearing an 'I'm on a Boat' shirt. XD)

But seriously, I don't get all the fuss. Yeah, it's a little funny he listens to T-Pain, but so what? In one session I'll listen to a bit of Classical music, a bit of Michael Bublé, a bit of Kanye, a bit of Dir en Grey, and bit of Linkin Park, a bit of AAA and a bit of DBSK. So what? I always thought he was a guy of eclectic tastes anyway. 8/

I like the Sprung...I can totally imagine DBSK performing this semi acapelly with their vocals in harmony. Yup it seems relaxing too....I like JJ's choice...^^ Argh! Missing DBSK to bits!!!

Junsu mentioned that Jaejoong listens to various kinds of music. In an interview, Jaejoong also said that now he's listening to Avant.
So I'm not surprised.

Not a music expert, I listen to music that makes me feel emotions i like. T-pain sample songs here - parts of it i like but other parts, the voice/lyrics made me feel uncomfortable. JaeJoong's voice is magical for me. Even if he sings a similar song as someone, he makes it so good, such as "It's Been So Long". It's like - many cook with soy sauce but a chef can make a dish an art with the same soy sauce.

I stayed with this shock.. he listen to music with spanish words!! I'm jumping for that xD about T-Pain O.o.. I think I've heard something *will check the videos xD* I knew he likes ALL kind of music, he is just a music lover I listen to everything too ^^! (not T-Pain .. but still a little bit of everything xD) and about similitud ... I rather JJ's style ;D

seems more like Yoochun made it in the style of t-pain, since I doubt that jaejoong knows enough english to make the rap...*no offense to Jae*. But Jae prolly told Yoochun "I want the rap part like this and this." Maybe?

@Giang: well... Avant is more r&b, so i'd be less surprising since we all knew DBSK listens to r&b.

i think everyone is surprised because of the appeal T-pain gives off in his music. It contrasts with the image Jaejoong has built up for the past 6 years. T-pain's music gives off more of a sex appeal, where as Jae's music is more towards the rock genre. that's just my opinion of course (=^__^=)
